When I bumped into an old friend, he asked me what was going on with me. I said "life." I also shared some personal stuff I was preoccupied with at the time, which I'm not going into here. I know it's all working out for the best.
My friend shared what he's been up to. He's very passionate about music. I was very happy for him that he was following his passion.
Every day I experience blessings in my life. Some teach me about myself and the world around me; some are responses to my prayer; others confirm that life is a gift. Even the experiences that are not so pleasant always have gems in them that reveal aspects of who I am. I tend to record all blessings, "big" or "small", in my blogs as reminders of what a wonderful world we live in. As I see it, whether blessings appear "big" or "small" in human terms, they are all equal.
So when I'm asked what's going on, all I can say is life is going on. If the person is really interested, I usually point them out to my blogs where they can find out for themselves.
Incidentally, about five minutes before I met my friend, my inner voice told me I was about to have a wonderful surprise. Actually, it wasn't too much of a surprise because he actually crossed my mind about a week ago and I wondered how he was doing. So, it was only natural that I was going to bump into him sooner or later and get updates from the horse's mouth.
After I saw my friend and was still walking home, a bus driving by stopped beside me. I realised it was a bus driver I hadn't seen in ages and have been wondering about. When my mother wasn't well, he told me he was praying for her. My friend opened the door and let me in. I didn't have to pay as it was only one stop to the final destination. He asked me how I was and I told him. He said he saw my mother a few weeks back and he asked me to pass on his kind regards. That was another wonderful surprise!
What's going on with me?
Life is going on and life is good.
